Venice, 11 January 2008 – Vodafone Italia is partnering the Veneto Jazz Winter festival and is making its technology available to communicate information on the artists playing at the winter jazz festival and on the concerts. All jazz fans have to do to make sure they don’t miss out on their favourite musicians is to subscribe by sending the message “JAZZ ON” to the Vodafone number 340 43 99 080. The information service is free of charge and is being offered to all jazz fans by Veneto Jazz and Vodafone, regardless of their mobile operator. The subscription message will be charged on the basis of the sender’s regular price plan, whilst the SMS received will be free.

The concerts will take place at highly prestigious locations in the Veneto Region’s main cities. Whether in Venice or Padua, Vicenza or Treviso, fans will be able to choose the concerts that interest them at any time, thanks to the information provided via SMS and Vodafone’s technology.

Additionally, to coincide with Veneto Jazz Winter, Vodafone Italia is promoting a knowledge of jazz and music in general within the Company. More than 200 staff will have the chance to attend the most important concerts scheduled.

This is the third year that Vodafone Italia has partnered Veneto Jazz after the successes of 2005 and 2006. As a result of this initiative the Company, whose main office in north-eastern Italy is in Padua, aims to build on its relationship with the Veneto Region and Veneto Jazz with a view to raising the international profile of the event.
