Emanuele Tournon  has taken over as the new Chief Financial Officer of Vodafone Italia with effect from 6 July 2007. Tournon  has taken the post previously occupied by Margherita Della Valle, who was appointed Chief Financial Officer for the Vodafone Group's Europe Region from 1 April 2007.

Tournon is directly responsible to the CEO Pietro Guindani.

Tournon entered Vodafone, or Omnitel as it was then, as Finance Director in March 2000 and in 2004 was appointed Chief Financial Officer for Vodafone's Southern Europe, Middle East and Africa (SEMEA) Region, implementing all the financial and governance processes required for the SEMEA region's start-up. In 2005 he was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Vodafone UK.

After graduating in Economics at the University of Turin, Tournon worked with several important Italian and international banks and companies, developing extensive and solid expertise thanks to the wide range and growing levels of responsibility assumed in the financial sector.

Emanuele Tournon was born in Turin. He is married and has four children.
