Vodafone is extending its range of promotional offers for talking and surfing the net while abroad. In addition to Vodafone Passport, it is now offering Free Roaming and Weekly Travel Tariff. Vodafone Passport, Free Roaming and Weekly Travel Tariff are price options created by Vodafone to meet the needs of customers who spend their holidays abroad and allow them to make more roaming calls, offering more value for money and a simple way of keeping a check on costs.
Vodafone Passport. Take your domestic tariff with you when you go abroad: all Vodafone Italia customers who access a Vodafone Group network in any of 33 countries can use their own domestic voice tariff and only pay the additional sum of 1 euro at the start of each call. Moreover, they can receive calls at the extra cost of only 1 euro for every 30 minutes. Vodafone Passport can be activated for free by calling 42070.
Customers who have activated Vodafone Passport can sign up for the new competition called Chiama&Vinci (Call&Win). Every week, from 1 July to 31 August 2007, they can win 2 weekends for two people and 10 travel coupons to visit the most beautiful European capitals. The final prize, to be drawn on 6 September 2007 from among all the participants, is a 2-week trip for two people to Australia. To enter the Chiama&Vinci competition just send an SMS, from Italy or abroad, to the number 4314141 with the text "concorso". With each call made from abroad using Passport during the period 1 July - 31 August customers can take part in the prize draws.
Free Roaming. An offer for customers travelling to countries where Passport is not available. Free Roaming involves a rebate of the sum spent on roaming calls in *123* mode during the period in which the offer is valid, up to a maximum of 250 euros. Free Roaming can be activated from 10 June to 31 August 2007 and has a duration of 30 days. Once de-activated, the sum spent by customers will be returned to them through a top-up of their available traffic. The sum can be used, without time limits, to call fixed-line and mobile numbers both in Italy and in roaming mode. The promotional offer can be activated by pre-pay customers at a cost of €5 by calling freephone 42070.
Weekly Travel Tariff. For customers who wish to surf the net or send and receive data when abroad. All Vodafone customers who make roaming calls over a Vodafone Group network or partner network can have access to 10MB of data traffic for 7 days at the cost of 15 euros. Weekly Travel Tariff can be activated for free by contract and pre-pay customers for an unlimited number of times up to 15 September 2007. Any traffic generated while the promotion is valid, with Vodafone Group operators and selected partners, in excess of 10MB will be charged at the promotional rate of 0.006 euros per KB (the equivalent of 6 euros per MB, VAT included), with payment in advance for the next 100 KB.
