Closing date for the Vodafone Ireland Foundation, World of Difference Programme is 20TH FEBRUARY 2008
Today Sunday 10th February The Vodafone Ireland Foundation reminds people that entries for the Vodafone Ireland Foundation World of Difference programme will close on 20th February 2008. Now in its second year, this is a programme which offers four Irish people the once in a lifetime opportunity to work in a charitable organisation of their choice for one year with salary (capped at €40,000) and expenses provided exclusively by Vodafone Ireland Foundation. The World of Difference Programme will select four people with the necessary passion and commitment to work in the charitable sector of their choice. Ray D’Arcy, Roisin Ingle, Niamh O’Carroll and Jan Mottram of Vodafone Ireland Foundation will sit on the final judging panel and will make their selection based on the suitability of each applicant to their chosen role.
Commenting on the announcement was, Jan Mottram, Chairperson of the Vodafone Ireland Foundation and Human Resources Director. "We have already had an overwhelming response to this year’s programme. The standard so far is extremely high and it will certainly be a challenge for the judges to select four winners. We are very confident that like last year we will find four exceptionally passionate individuals with a clear vision in mind and again the World of Difference Programme 2008 will provide deserving charities with the sustained support that they urgently need. I would encourage anybody with the drive, determination and a plan on how they can make a difference to take the exciting step and apply for this year’s programme before 20th February 2008."
Entries for the Vodafone Ireland Foundation World of Difference will be received through an online application via the Vodafone Ireland Foundation website at www.vodafoneirelandfoundation.ie with a closing date of Wednesday 20th February 2008.
