Vodafone customers can get bonus recharges through SMS

03 January 2008

Chennai, January 03, 2008: Vodafone Essar, one of India’s leading cellular service providers, has launched bonus recharge through SMS facility for its customers in Tamil Nadu. Vodafone is the first service provider to launch this service in the state.

A Vodafone customer can now send an SMS and use the balance in his account to pay for the bonus recharge. This bonus recharge will allow special call rates to be activated for a particular period.

To activate bonus recharge, all a customer needs to do is SMS ACT BONUS<MRP of the Bonus recharge> to 111. The customer should have subscribed to a scheme on which bonuses are valid and his account balance should be greater than or equal to the cost of the bonus recharge. The amount would then be deducted from the customer’s account.
