Kochi, September 9, 2008 – Onam celebrations have a special zing this season. Vodafone Essar, one of India’s leading cellular service providers, is celebrating its first Onam by extending a special Rs. 222 full talk time recharge plan for its customers in Kerala. With 365 days validity, this exclusive recharge enables prepaid customers to enjoy free minutes worth Rs.111 to local Vodafone numbers for the first 30 days. Apart from the regular talk time of Rs11, the recharge also offers a bonus talk time of Rs 100 spread across five months.
In addition to the special recharge, a bonus card of Rs.11 has been introduced which provides 80 minutes of talk time to local Vodafone numbers between 11.00PM and 08.00AM.

It has also expanded its existing tower capacity to enable people to connect with each other despite heavy call traffic this Onam.
Postpaid customers too have many reasons to celebrate. ‘Vodafone Tuesdays’, an innovative offer for postpaid customers will enable them to avail flat 20% discount on all ISD calls made on Tuesdays. Onam also offers free STD minutes ranging from 20 – 40 minutes for postpaid customers making ISD calls.
The holy month of Ramzan brings postpaid customers a special call rate of Rs.6.99/min between 12 midnight and 08.00AM. Apart from this, customers who make complete payment of their outstanding in the month of September will be eligible for two promo packs of “STD @ Re.1” worth Rs.31/- and “Calls to local Vodafone @10p” worth Rs. 49/- free for one month.
The above offers will be available to Vodafone customers at 25 Vodafone stores & 9 Self Service Kiosks spread across Kerala.
