Always a pioneer, on Tuesday June 19, Vodafone will make another Greek market first, by launching a mobile advertising program, in partnership with major advertisers from all business sectors, such as Emporiki Bank, Carrefour, Coca-Cola Hellas SA, Intersys SA (Canon, Pioneer,Toshiba), Kraft (Jacobs, Philadelphia, Lacta), Kosmocar-Volkswagen, Lancôme, McDonald's, Nivea, Unilever, etc.

This innovative advertising program that has been successfully implemented in other Group countries like Germany, England and Italy, will be realised via the Vodafone live! platform, offering the possibility for targeted direct marketing communication and action, as well as smart applications. Subscribers will have the opportunity to receive advertisements on their mobile phones, for products, services, offers communication and information according to their interests.

Mobile advertising opens up new horizons in the business world of advertisers, advertising agencies etc, enabling Vodafone to utilise its global customer base exceeding 206 million people. Moreover, it offers advertisers the opportunity to communicate their products in a targeted manner to such a large number of people, mainly focusing on young consumers. Mobile advertising will be a new targeted communication channel, that will complement traditional means and enhance the communication positioning of advertised companies and their products in the subscribers' conscience.

The pilot phase will be implemented in partnership with Oxygen Media and will have limited duration, intended to evaluate the degree of acceptance of such a pioneering service by mobile subscribers, as well as measure the effectiveness of mobile advertising.
