- Vodafone introduces new access speeds
- Try them out with the new DELL INSPIRON MINI 9, and with integrated mobile broadband
Vodafone announces a new, fast broadband data interface through its 3G mobile telephony network, employing the latest technology in HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access) for downlink speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps and HSUPA (High Speed Uplink Packet Access) for uplink speeds of up to 1.4 Mbps. Currently, the new speeds are available in specific areas in Athens and Thessaloniki - and the number of areas is steadily growing.
As an introductory offer, Vodafone has exclusively made DELL Inspiron Mini 9 available free of charge on the “Vodafone Mobile Broadband 10GB” tariff plan and at a discount on other Vodafone Mobile Broadband tariff plans. Dell’s pioneering netbook fully utilizes the new speeds afforded by Vodafone’s network for sending and receiving data, free from cable connections and access cards, ensuring absolute freedom of move.
The absolute Christmas gadget, available through Vodafone stores as of Monday, 8 December, weighs less than 1 kilogram and incorporates a Mobile Broadband, which allows all those using it to “surf” at unique speeds.
