Environmental management is one of the central pillars of Vodafone’s integrated Corporate Responsibility programme. In this regard, Vodafone has supported the Foundation of the Hellenic World produce a new film on the environment entitled ‘Earth is our Home' which will be screened the Hellenic Cosmos Virtual Reality Theatre, 'Tholos'.

As part of a combined effort, Vodafone has supported the FHW to enable it to provide information and raise awareness among the public about the environment and environmental protection through the use of modern technology.

'Earth is our Home' lasts around 40 minutes and is suitable for all age groups. It is based exclusively on 3D graphics and answers all questions about the environment and how each and every one of us can contribute to protecting it via simply, everyday activities. After the screening, there is an interactive quiz which the audience is invited to actively participate in, testing their knowledge on environmental issues.

The rise in planetary temperatures, climate change, and disturbances in the food chain, genetically modified foodstuffs, waste management, recycling, renewable energy sources and energy savings are just some of the issues which are now an integral part of everyone's day-to-day life and which are directly addressed by the Programme.

Vodafone's multi-faceted Corporate Responsibility Programme has been prepared on the basis of a risk analysis and stakeholder survey conducted every two years for all company operations. The environment is one of those sectors where the company is focusing its activities in line with survey results, by taking systematic steps which have measurable results.
