Düsseldorf, 4 December 2007. The Hamburg regional court today announced its decision in the appeal proceedings about the iPhone marketing policy. It was Vodafone's intention to clarify the legal situation in the mobile communications market. That's why it asked the court to consider T-Mobile's new marketing model. Vodafone believes that any future sales of mobile phones in Germany with these kinds of restrictive SIM locks and tariff contracts goes against the interests of consumers.
Vodafone will now be analysing the court's opinion before deciding on whether to take any further action.
