Hanover, 3 March 2008. Vodafone has further enhanced the convenience of its Mobile Music service, whose library already contains over a million songs. The new Mobile Music Client for mobile phones which is being demonstrated at CeBIT 2008 makes mobile music more enjoyable by simplifying song downloads from the Vodafone Music Shop. The Vodafone Music Manager for home PCs is also new. This software makes song playback and administration childsplay, and it also enables simple direct access to the Vodafone Music Shop.
Vodafone is still optimising its range of mobile music products and services. That's not just a matter of increasing the number of songs available for down-loading - the song library already contains over one million songs of all genres and from all epochs - Vodafone customers also profit from continuous improve-ments. For example, Vodafone is introducing a new mobile phone software that considerably simplifies the use of the Vodafone Mobile Music service.
Mobile Music Client
The new Mobile Music Client for mobile phones facilitates a convenient touch button search for songs or albums. It also enables the user to listen to a selected song and provides direct access to the Vodafone Music Shop – without the need to use the mobile phone browser. Two Vodafone phones currently have the Mobile Music Client: the SonyEricsson W910i and the SonyEricsson V640.
Numerous further models by various manufacturers will be equipped with this feature over the next few months. It will also be possible to upgrade phones by downloading the software.
Vodafone Music Manager
The Vodafone Music Manager for home PCs is another new software product that also provides direct access to the Vodafone Music Shop. Vodafone Music Manager is an innovative media player for the extremely simple administration and playback of songs in personal music collections on the PC, which can in¬clude many different audio formats. It makes no difference whether the songs are purchased from Vodafone or not. The software also makes it very easy to download songs from the PC to the mobile phone (and vice-versa). One extremely practical feature is that any songs which are purchased via the Mobile Music Client and downloaded to the mobile phone are Automati¬cally also available in the Vodafone Music Manager.
