Vodafone customers can donate their Vodafone Stars points to needy children
Düsseldorf, 01 October 2008. Today is the start of a special Vodafone fundraising initiative: Customers participating in the Vodafone Star loyalty program can donate bonus points to the RTL Fundraising Marathon and help needy children. For the third time, Vodafone is the main sponsor of the RTL Fundraising Marathon, supporting the longest running charity TV event this year with a special bonus: Customers can donate their Vodafone Stars points as credit.
With its Vodafone Stars loyalty program Vodafone Germany welcomes all customers – whether contract or CallYa – to collect points, which they can exchange for attractive rewards or donate for a good cause. Donations, which can be from October 1 to November 30, will go to the projects of this year’s RTL Donation Marathon.
Customers can support the RTL Marathon with a donation of 500 bonus points, worth around €5, directly on the Web at www.vodafone.de/vodafonestars. The donated points will be collected from today to the end of November and flow into the total funds raised during the RTL Marathon, which begins at 6 p.m. on November 20 and ends the following day. The focus of this year’s fundraising event is sustainable support of pro-jects for needy children in Germany and Africa.
How to donate? Simply go to the Vodafone Deutschland homepage in the “Stars Bereich” (Stars Section) at www.vodafone.de/vodafonestars. In the menu bar on the left side, you will find the command "Punkte einlösen" (redeem points). You can walk through the menu in a few steps and support the RTL Fundraising Marathon with a maximum 500 bonus points.
The successful collaboration of the past years between Vodafone and RTL guarantees that all donations handled by these two partners are in the best hands!
