Q1 KPIs show increased service revenue and good growth in customer connections underpinned by contract customer acquisition
Key Highlights:
- Service revenue growth of 9.4% in Q1 07/08 compared to Q1 06/07.
- Addition of 16,000 net customers for the three months ending June 30, 2007 (excluding MVNO customers). Vodafone Australia’s total direct customer base stands at more than 3,382,000.
- Total MVNO customers increased by more than 19,000 during Q1 07/08, bringing the total number of MVNO customers to more than 327,000.
- Total Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) grew 2.3% for Q1 07/08 compared to Q1 06/07, with sustained high levels of minutes of usage more than offsetting the impact of reduced mobile termination rates that applied from January 2007.
- Gross contract customer connections grew 36.1% for Q1 07/08 compared to Q1 06/07. Vodafone Australia’s focus on high-value customers has also resulted in year-on-year contract ARPU growth of 3.7%.
- Total network usage for Q1 07/08 remains high at 2,179 million minutes, which represents 8.7% growth compared to Q1 06/07.
- Vodafone closed Q1 07/08 with more than 617,000 registered 3G/HSDPA
devices.
