Vodafone Group Plc today announces an exclusive five year agreement with Van Wagner UK Limited  to use one of the most prominent advertising positions in the UK. The agreement is for the advertising site on Coventry House in the heart of Piccadilly Circus in London. The site is the only outdoor advertising sign  occupying the Eastern aspect of Piccadilly Circus.

Commenting, David Haines, Global Brand Director at Vodafone, said: "We have recently introduced a number of key measures in our steps to develop Vodafone as a global brand. These include a prominent advertising campaign at all major European airports and other ports of entry, and our sponsorship of the Ferrari F1 team. We can now add one of the most prominent advertising locations in the UK and hope to be able to add similar prominent sites in other major cities."

Piccadilly Circus in London has been synonymous with outdoor advertising for nearly 200 years and is one of the key tourist routes in central London. The location is seen from over 2 million cars and by more than 32 million pedestrians using the area every month.  Vodafone intends to use the site for branding purposes and will 'go live' from next weekend.
