Wieden + Kennedy appointed for next phase in Vodafone's global brand development

Vodafone Group Plc today announces the appointment of Wieden + Kennedy as its new principal global creative advertising agency. Wieden + Kennedy will be responsible for devisingthe creative for the Group's advertising for the next phase in Vodafone's global brand development and the transition towards a single global Vodafone brand.

Vodafone has now successfully completed the first phase in its global brand development with the introduction of dual Vodafone branding in its subsidiary network operations across Europe. As Vodafone moves in to the next stages of global brand development, Wieden + Kennedy has been appointed as the lead creative agency to assist the Group and its roster of agencies, as Vodafone moves into the next phase towards becoming the world's leading mobile multimedia company.

Appointed after an extensive pitch and evaluation process, Wieden + Kennedy has been chosen for its proven track record in developing global brands and for the strength and creativity of the ideas and approach it can offer to support Vodafone globally.

As Vodafone Group's lead global creative agency, Wieden + Kennedy will provide the framework and creative ideas for Vodafone's global brand campaigns. The agency's appointment will not affect incumbent local advertising agencies working alongside the individual Vodafone operating companies who will adapt the creative for the local market advertising in each country.
