Vodafone Group Plc today announces the appointment of Carat International as its pan European media planning agency for brand advertising. The selection of Carat International follows the appointment last month of McCann Erickson as Vodafone's first global advertising agency.
Existing local agencies will continue to buy the campaigns by country while Carat International will handle the Pan European media planning and the buying of international media.
Commenting on the appointment, Thomas Geitner, Vodafone Group's Executive Board Director responsible for global branding, said: "The appointment of our first Pan European media planning agency is part of our strategy to establish a strong global brand and position ourselves as the world's leading mobile multimedia company.
"We chose Carat International, which will work alongside McCann Erickson, our global brand advertising agency, and the incumbent local media buying agencies, because of its imaginative media selection and plans for a branding campaign as well as its robust network and strong team."
