Vodafone AirTouch Plc announces that it has agreed to divest its 36.8% holding in Celtel, the Ugandan mobile network operator to its partner MSI Cellular Investments (Uganda) B.V. for approximately $7 million in cash. The deal is expected to complete by the end of June 2000.
