Vodafone Group Plc announces that it has entered into exclusive discussions with Wind concerning Infostrada which may lead to the acquisition of Infostrada by Wind. Wind is a fixed and mobile telecoms operator in Italy and is 56.63% owned by Enel S.p.A. and 43.37% owned by France Telecom SA.

Infostrada is a wholly owned subsidiary of Mannesmann AG and any such sale would be subject to approval by the Mannesmann Supervisory Board.
