Taking The Pyrenees Challenge!

Follow the team's progress over their 1,000 mile challenge!

The Team SIM Tracker

Vodafone’s Team SIM is using two BlackBerry devices, linked to this site via GPS, so you can track their progress through three countries as they take on The BIG Ride ’09.

The team will start from the Vodafone HQ in Newbury, Berkshire, cycling to Portsmouth before sailing for Bilbao, Spain.  From there, the riders and their support crew will climb to San Sebastian before turning inland to face the Pyrenees.  The route will take the team over the some of the most challenging climbs of the Pyrenees, including four Tour de France classics: the Col de Marie-Blanque (1035m), Col D'Aspin (1489m), Col D'Aubisque (1709m) and the iconic Col du Tourmalet (2115m); before heading north through France to Caen and the return crossing to Portsmouth.

On the final stage, we will be met by riders from our main sponsors – RIM, Amdocs and Starent Networks, before working our way home en masse to the Vodafone HQ in Newbury.
