Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson DBE, Britain's best known Paralympic athlete and Sir Matthew Pinsent CBE, winner of four consecutive Olympic gold medals for rowing, currently act as special advisers to the trustees of the Foundation.
The two sporting heroes work closely with the Foundation to harness investment into sporting projects which create positive change for disadvantaged young people and their communities.
“Sport and music are international languages that not only transcend boundaries but also have a positive impact on a number of problems such as poor health, crime and social exclusion. We need to galvanise the benefits of sport quickly and make real change to the communities that most need it.”

“Sport gives so much more to people than just the pleasure and satisfaction that comes from simply taking part. There’s discipline, competition, fitness and finally the chance to win, All these attributes, in their own way, provide young people with important life skills. I am thrilled to be advising The Vodafone Group Foundation as it begins its programme to enable charities to further sporting programmes across the globe.”
