Protecting our customers

Today our customers use their mobile devices to work, shop, browse the web, chat with friends and family, pay bills and do their internet banking. These new services can benefit our customers and society, but they also create new challenges and responsibilities.

We work hard to make sure all our customers have the information and tools they need to use mobile services safely and securely:

  • Protecting children and young people is a priority. We’ve introduced content controls and advice to help parents keep their children safe online.
  • Our customers trust us to look after their personal and financial information. Our data protection and privacy policies and training help us to protect our customers’ privacy and keep their data secure.
  • Some people are concerned that radio frequency (RF) fields from base stations or mobile handsets might have an impact on their health. All our mobile phones and base stations are designed to operate within international guidelines on RF.
  • We want customers to use their mobiles responsibly. We publish advice for customers who need to use their mobiles while driving to help them stay safe and protect other road users.
  • We blacklist all Vodafone handsets reported to us as stolen so they can’t be used on any UK network.
