Here at Vodafone, we aim to create a working culture that’s a reflection of our global footprint and customers, creating a diverse and inclusive environment.
We’re proud to offer equal opportunities for all aspects of employment and advancement regardless of race, nationality, sex, age, marital status, sexual orientation, disability, religious or political belief.
We’re passionate about gender balance in our workplace. Over the last 5 years, we've been on a journey to have a positive impact on our senior leadership’s gender balance. We’ve come from 14% of our senior leaders being female in 2009 to 21% in 2015, but we’re not done yet. We're aiming to reach our ambition of 30% + of senior leaders being female, reflective of the fact that 35% of our total workforce are women doing exceptional work every day.

This agenda is led by our Executive Committee who have implemented an array of inclusive drivers, such as senior leader targets, unconscious bias training across our teams, development and mentoring programmes for women, and in 2015, took a bold step to introduce a global minimum standard maternity policy. This means that across our 30 markets, ranging from India and Africa, to US to Europe, we offer a minimum of 16 weeks fully paid maternity leave, in line with UN recommendations, with many of our markets offering more. We’ve also acknowledged those returning to work by offering transition support for mothers, offering them the option to work for 30 hours per week, but continuing to be paid full time.
