The Vodafone Foundation is committed to providing assistance in the area of disaster relief in the following ways.
Through funding the work of Telecoms Sans Frontiers and the World Food Programme, our standby partners, in their emergency response work.
Through the utilisation of SMS Giving campaigns initiated under a Vodafone Red Alert. Red Alert is an emergency SMS fundraising programme enabling Vodafone Foundations and Vodafone companies to respond to emergencies and disasters. The programme provides the facility for Vodafone employees and customers in 21 countries to give free of charge to appeals via SMS in response to disasters and emergencies.
