Following the devastating earthquake in New Zealand this week, Vodafone UK has set up a free text donation number for Vodafone customers wishing to donate to the Red Cross appeal.
By texting NZQUAKE to 70801 you can make a £5 donation to the Red Cross. All texts are free and the Vodafone Foundation will donate an additional £1 for every £5 donation made, up to a total of £100,000. The Vodafone Foundation has already donated £100,000 to support the rescue and relief effort. The text number will be available for one week.
Customers will not be charged for sending the text and 100% of your donation will be passed by Vodafone to the Red Cross. This is an exclusive service for Vodafone customers and the text number will be available until Thursday, March 3.
