Backup+ app is closing on 31st of July. Your content remains safe in Dropbox.

From now on, you only need the Dropbox app to backup & restore your photos and videos.

1. Can I still access my backed up content after the closure of Backup+ ?


A. Yes, all your photos, videos and contacts are safe. You can always access any content backed up by Backup+ within Dropbox. Either use the Dropbox app or go to www.dropbox.com and navigate to the folder called ‘Vodafone Backup+’. Here you will find your backed up pictures, videos and contacts.

2. Can I still use the Backup+ App?

A. The Backup+ app will continue to work normally for existing users up until the 31st of July 2017.

After 31st of July 2017, it will stop backing up your data and you may uninstall the Backup+ app. Your content will remain safe in Dropbox.

 

3. How can I start using the Dropbox app?

A. You can find the right app for your device at https://www.dropbox.com/mobile.

 

4. I am having problems accessing my content on Dropbox, using either the website or the Dropbox app, what should I do?

A. Please contact Dropbox for questions on accessing Dropbox and your content stored in Backup+.

5. I am registered to the 25GB Dropbox free for 3 months offer and my offer expires after July 2017. Even though Backup+ won’t work, can I still use Dropbox with my extra space?

A. Yes, you can continue to back up & restore with the Dropbox app. Your additional space related to your trial offer will be available until your trial period ends. After this period, you can get additional space via https://www.dropbox.com/plus

 

6. I am registered to the Backup+  25GB Dropbox storage free for 36 months offer, that continues as longs as my contract with Vodafone continues. Can I still use Dropbox with my extra space?

A. Yes, you can continue to back up & restore with the Dropbox app. Your additional space related to the promotion offer will be available until the end of the duration of the promotion.


7. I am subscribed to the paid offer. Am I going to continue to pay after the closure of Backup+?       

A. There will be no renewal of Backup+ paid offers after June 2017. All paid subscriptions will be automatically stopped by Vodafone and your extra space will be removed in Dropbox.  Your content will continue to be safe in your Dropbox account.

8. I am using an Apple device and Dropbox doesn’t back up or restore contacts, what should I do now?

A. You can still restore your backed up contacts via the Dropbox app, but there is no option to backup new contacts via Dropbox. Here are the simple steps for you to follow to restore your contacts.

 

1. Install and run the Dropbox Mobile App

2. Navigate to “Vodafone Backup+ → Contacts → [YOUR_DEVICE_NAME]”

3. Choose one of the .vcf files (you may restore the most recent version)

4. Tap “…” → “Export” → “Copy Link”

5. Open safari → paste link to address bar

6. Choose icon on the upper right corner

7. Tap “Direct Download”

8. Tap “Open in Contacts”

9. Tap “Add all contacts”

10. Tap “save”

 

9.  I am using an Android device and Dropbox doesn’t back up or restore contacts, what should I do now?

A. You can still restore your backed up contacts via the Dropbox app, but there is no option to backup new contacts via Dropbox. Here are the simple steps for you to follow to restore your contacts.

 

1. Install and run the Dropbox Mobile App

2. Navigate to “Vodafone Backup+ → Contacts → [YOUR_DEVICE_NAME]”
