Machina Research today announced the results of its annual M2M CSP Benchmarking Study and, for the third year running, Vodafone tops the ranking.
As in the previous year, Machina Research continues to see Vodafone as the best placed CSP to take advantage of the global market opportunity. According to the study, Vodafone continues to set the pace in M2M with the highest number of M2M connections, the fastest growth and a number of big customer wins – all of which leads the analyst to believe Vodafone’s success in the M2M area is set to continue.
Commenting on the result, the study’s author Matt Hatton said: “Vodafone has been very successful this year, winning lots of new customers in various industries across its global footprint. Its investment over the last couple of years in technology and people has paid off, translating also into service differentiation and the development of new innovative products. We expect the extra added bonus of the Project Spring funding to give Vodafone’s M2M capabilities a further push in the near future. Vodafone fully deserves to keep its ranking as the market leader”.
Vodafone’s Director of M2M, Erik Brenneis, said: “We are pleased that Machina Research’s study recognises Vodafone again as the market leader in M2M. We will continue to invest in technology, partnerships and geographic expansion to enable our customers to leverage the benefits of M2M for their businesses.”
Gartner has positioned Vodafone as a "Leader" in its Magic Quadrant for Managed M2M Services, Worldwide report 2017, for the fourth consecutive year
