Gartner positions Vodafone as a “Leader” in its Magic Quadrant for Managed M2M Services, Worldwide

Gartner has positioned Vodafone as a “Leader” in its latest Magic Quadrant for Managed M2M Services, Worldwide report for the third consecutive year.

We believe the report recognises the strengths of our global footprint and experience in managing the largest pool of M2M connections. We have been placed in the highest overall position for “ability to execute” and are positioned furthest to the right for “completeness of vision”, having made continued progress in both these areas.

Businesses across the globe are rapidly exploring the opportunities IoT technology can bring – anything from greater operational efficiency and increased revenue to improved customer service and the ability to reduce carbon and energy use. And we can only expect further growth in the managed IoT communications market over the coming years. In our recent IoT Barometer, more than three quarters of businesses said that the Internet of Things is “critical” to their future success.

When assessing our M2M services, Gartner looked at two key areas:

  1. Completeness of vision-our understanding of the market, marketing strategy, sales strategy, product strategy, business model, industry strategy, innovation and geographic strategy
  2. Ability to execute-our product/service offering, overall viability, sales execution/pricing, market responsiveness, market execution, customer experience and operations

We believe this latest report once again confirms our global leadership in this field as we continue with our vision to connect every machine in the world.
