Gartner has named Vodafone as a Challenger in its latest global Magic Quadrant for Network Services, Global.

We believe our position in the Gartner report reflects the substantial investment we’ve made to boost the quality of our global offering and expand the geographic reach of our networks. In the past 12 months we’ve continued our strategy of being a total communications provider to organisations across the globe. And we think the fact our position on the “ability to execute” axis has improved considerably since last year suggests our approach is working.

Business communications are fast evolving. The explosion of data, the mobility boom, companies shifting quickly to the cloud, new technologies and security concerns – all these factors have come together and completely transformed the needs of organisations around the world. That’s why we’ve been evolving our networks and our network services to ensure our customers will always be confidently connected and can count on Vodafone to support them on their digital transformation journey.

When assessing our network service capabilities, Gartner looked at two key areas:

  1. Completeness of vision – our understanding of the market, marketing strategy, sales strategy, product strategy, business model, industry strategy, innovation and geographic strategy
  2. Ability to execute– our product/service offering, overall viability, sales execution/pricing, market responsiveness, market execution, customer experience and operations
