Robust and scalable network means FARO factories remain running across Asia Pacific.
In a global economy there can be no weak links between head office and regional outposts. A problem arising from connectivity in one regional office can be felt across an entire organisation. FARO Technologies is a global measurement and imaging leader. Its products sell on the strength of their accuracy and performance. With previous incumbent network issues in its APAC business, FARO needed to rethink its infrastructure.
Robust and Reliable Global Connectivity Network – IP VPN
The Vodafone solution delivers a robust and scalable network across Asia Pacific. It ensures network failover in event of any issues, with tertiary backup in select locations. It offers scalable bandwidths to support different sites, from smaller offices to regional headquarters.
Vodafone has created 10 MPLS (Multi-Protocol Label Switching) sites: one each in Thailand, Singapore, South Korea and Japan, two in India and four in China. All sites are backed up through the Vodafone MPLS network, providing high availability and redundancy. In addition, the Singapore and New Delhi sites have tertiary backup, with one MPLS and two internet circuits with load and link balancing.
"No downtime means we can be 100% confident in committing to a customer. There is no worry that something will go wrong, that we need to account for two days loss of network." Christopher Han,
