Stevan Hoyle - President, Middle East & Africa and Commercial, Marketing & Innovation Director
Stevan Hoyle leads Middle East & Africa covering South Africa, DRC, Ghana, Mozambique, Tanzania, Kenya, Egypt and Qatar – and through partnerships across Botswana, Uganda, Afghanistan, Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates. Stevan also has additional responsibility for the Commercial, Marketing and Innovation team within Vodafone Global Enterprise.
Prior to his appointment in 2015, Stevan spent the previous seven years building the company's involvement in key Asian and African markets, working across Vodafone operating companies and affiliates as well as through partnerships across China, South and South East Asia, North Asia and Africa. This has helped customers meet the growing demand for sophisticated communications solutions.
With over two decades of experience in the telecom industry behind him, Stevan has lived and worked in four continents. He joined Vodafone in 1999 as Corporate Sales Director UK and has subsequently managed the corporate and global customer businesses in the UK and USA. He's passionate about providing excellent customer service, as well as innovative communications solutions that transform businesses.
Stevan is South African and attended Diocesan College (Bishops), Cape Town University and University of Natal Pietermaritzburg. He currently lives in Singapore with his wife and daughters. Stevan is also a veteran rugby player and an amateur genealogist who has traced his family roots back to the 16th century
Deon Liebenberg - Executive Vice President, Africa
Deon is no stranger to Vodafone Global Enterprise Africa. Before taking the role as Executive Vice President, he was the Managing Executive for us at Vodacom in South Africa and CEO for the Vodacom Business Africa Group of companies across Africa. Deon has more than 20 years' experience in the ICT and Telecom Industry, earned working at some of South Africa's leading operators and multinational telecom service providers. During his career, he held a number of sales and business development positons at Vodacom and other organizations such as Telkom SA, Motorola (Pty) Ltd and BlackBerry.
He holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of The Free State as well as a Bachelor of Business Management and Administration, and a Master in Business and Administration from the University of Stellenbosch.
